In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

O Allah, apportion for us such fear of you that will protect us from acts of disobedience, and apportion for us obedience to you that will take us to Paradise, and apportion for us certainty that will make calamities easier to endure. O Allah, let us enjoy our hearing, our sight, and our power as long as you keep us alive and make heirs for us from our offspring and let retaliation be upon those who oppress us. Support us against those who are hostile to us and let no misfortune afflict our religion. Let not the world be our greatest concern or the limit of our knowledge, and let not those rule over us who are not merciful to us.
