Hadith on Preaching: Wisdom in preaching at right time, not boring

Ibn Mas’ud reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would take care in preaching to us on certain days, disliking it to become boring for us.

In another narration, Ibn Mas’ud said: Fearing it would become boring for us.

عَنْ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَخَوَّلُنَا بِالْمَوْعِظَةِ فِي الْأَيَّامِ كَرَاهَةَ السَّآمَةِ عَلَيْنَا

وفي رواية أخرى قال مَخَافَةَ السَّآمَةِ عَلَيْنَا
