Hadith on Marriage: Worst husband spreads their wife’s bedroom secrets

Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, the most evil of people in the presence of Allah on the Day of Resurrection is a man who was intimate with his wife and then spreads her secrets.

Imam al-Nawawi commented, “In this hadith is the prohibition of a man divulging what occurs between himself and his wife regarding matters of intimate enjoyment, describing the details of that, and what occurs from the woman therein of speech, actions, and the like. As for merely mentioning sexual intercourse itself, then if there is no benefit in it and no need for it, it is disapproved because it is contrary to chivalry.”
