Hadith on ‘Ibadah: Waking up to worship in the night

Umm Salamah reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, woke her up one night and he said, “Glory be to Allah, what trials has Allah sent down tonight? What treasures has he sent down tonight? Who will wake the inhabitants of these apartments? Perhaps a well-dressed person in the world will be naked in the Hereafter.

عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اسْتَيْقَظَ لَيْلَةً فَقَالَ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ مَاذَا أُنْزِلَ اللَّيْلَةَ مِنْ الْفِتْنَةِ مَاذَا أُنْزِلَ مِنْ الْخَزَائِنِ مَنْ يُوقِظُ صَوَاحِبَ الْحُجُرَاتِ يَا رُبَّ كَاسِيَةٍ فِي الدُّنْيَا عَارِيَةٍ فِي الْآخِرَةِ
