Hadith on Humility: The Prophet walks, his companions ride

Abdullah ibn Mas’ud reported: On the day of Badr, we were riding with three men upon one camel. Abu Lubabah and Ali ibn Abi Talib were the two riding with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. It was time for the Messenger of Allah to walk, but they said, “We will walk and let you ride.” The Prophet said, “You are not stronger than me, and I am not in less need of reward than you both.
