Abu Huraira reported: None of the Jews or Christians heard of me but that they loved me. I desired for my mother to be upon Islam but she refused. I told her again but she refused again. I went to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and I said, “Supplicate to Allah for her.” The Prophet supplicated and I went to her. She answered the door and she said, “O Abu Huraira, I have embraced Islam.” I told the Prophet, saying, “Supplicate to Allah for me and my mother.” The Prophet said, “O Allah, endear your servant Abu Huraira and his mother to the people.”

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ مَا سَمِعَ بِي أَحَدٌ يَهُودِيٌّ وَلا نَصْرَانِيٌّ إِلا أَحَبَّنِي إِنَّ أُمِّي كُنْتُ أُرِيدُهَا عَلَى الإِسْلامِ فَتَأْبَى فَقُلْتُ لَهَا فَأَبَتْ فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُلْتُ ادْعُ اللَّهَ لَهَا فَدَعَا فَأَتَيْتُهَا وَقَدْ أَجَافَتْ عَلَيْهَا الْبَابَ فَقَالَتْ يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ إِنِّي أَسْلَمْتُ فَأَخْبَرْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُلْتُ ادْعُ اللَّهَ لِي وَلأُمِّي فَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ عَبْدُكَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ وَأُمُّهُ أَحِبَّهُمَا إِلَى النَّاسِ
