Hadith on Caliphs: The Prophet’s vision of Abu Bakr and Umar

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “While I was sleeping, I saw myself standing at a well and upon it was a bucket. I drew water from the well as much as Allah willed. Then, Ibn Abi Quhafah, Abu Bakr, took the bucket from me and brought out one or two buckets, but there was some weakness in his drawing the water. May Allah forgive his weakness! Then, the bucket became large, and Umar Ibn al-Khattab took it over. I have never seen such a mighty leader of people as Umar, drawing so much water until they even brought their camels to drink.
