Abdullah ibn Mas’ud reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The most hesitant of people in killing are the people of faith.”

Imam al-San’ani commented, “The meaning is that the people who most avoid killing are the believers, because the faith they carry with them dissuades them from killing.”
