Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to his uncle Abu Talib as he was dying, “Say there is no God but Allah, and I will testify for you on the Day of Resurrection.” Abu Talib said, “Were the Quraysh not to blame me and say only anxiety made him do that, I would delight your eyes.” Then, Allah revealed the verse, “Verily, you do not guide those you love, rather only Allah guides whom he wills.” (28:56)
