Abu Darda reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came out to us while we were discussing our fear of poverty. The Prophet said, “Is it poverty that you fear? By the One in whose hand is my soul, the world will come to you in such abundance that nothing else will deviate your hearts. By Allah, I have left you upon a clear path, the clarity of which is the same by night or day.”

عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنَحْنُ نَذْكُرُ الْفَقْرَ وَنَتَخَوَّفُهُ فَقَالَ أَلْفَقْرَ تَخَافُونَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَتُصَبَّنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ الدُّنْيَا صَبًّا حَتَّى لَا يُزِيغَ قَلْبَ أَحَدِكُمْ إِزَاغَةً إِلَّا هِيهْ وَايْمُ اللَّهِ لَقَدْ تَرَكْتُكُمْ عَلَى مِثْلِ الْبَيْضَاءِ لَيْلُهَا وَنَهَارُهَا سَوَاءٌ
