Hadith on Dua: Do not supplicate so loudly, Allah is Hearing

Abu Musa reported: We were with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, on a journey when the people began to exalt Allah loudly. The Prophet said, “O people, be gentle with yourselves. You are not calling upon one who is deaf or absent, rather you are calling upon the Hearing, the Seeing.” I was behind the Prophet and I said to myself, “There is no movement or might but with Allah.” The Prophet said, “O Abdullah ibn Qays, say, ‘There is no movement or might but with Allah,’ for it is one of the treasures of Paradise.”
