Hadith on Community: Eat food together, remember Allah

Washi ibn Harb reported: They said, “O Messenger of Allah, we eat but we are not satiated.” The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Perhaps you eat separately?” They said yes. The Prophet said, “Eat your meals together and mention the name of Allah over it, for you will be blessed in it.

عَنْ وَحْشِيِّ بْنِ حَرْبٍ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا نَأْكُلُ وَلَا نَشْبَعُ قَالَ النَّبِي صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَفْتَرِقُونَ قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ فَاجْتَمِعُوا عَلَى طَعَامِكُمْ وَاذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ يُبَارَكْ لَكُمْ فِيهِ
