Awza’i on Sunnah: Be careful not to contradict the Prophet

‘Amir ibn Yasaf reported: Al-Awza’i, may Allah have mercy on him, said, “O ‘Amir, if a tradition reaches you from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon, beware not to say differently. Verily, the Prophet conveyed from Allah Almighty.”
