Maymun on Sin: Whoever sins in secret, let him repent in secret

Abu Nu’aym reported: Maymun ibn Mihran said, “Whoever commits evil in secret, let him repent in secret. Whoever commits evil in public, let him repent in public. Verily, Allah will forgive him and he will not condemn him, but people will condemn him and they will not forgive him.”
