Abu Nu’aym reported: Umar ibn Al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, said, “Nothing benefits a man, after faith in Allah, as much as a wife with good character, loving and fertile. Nothing harms a man, after unbelief in Allah, as much as a wife with evil character and a sharp tongue.”

عن أبي نعيم قَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رضي الله عنه مَا أَفَادَ امْرُؤٌ بَعْدَ إِيمَانٍ بِاللَّهِ مِثْلَ امْرَأَةٍ حَسَنَةِ الْخُلُقِ وَدُودٍ وَلُودٍ وَمَا أَفَادَ امْرُؤٌ بَعْدَ كُفْرٍ بِاللَّهِ مِثْلَ امْرَأَةٍ سَيِّئَةِ الْخُلُقِ حَدِيدَةِ اللِّسَانِ
