Umar on Sabr: Our best days were because of our patience

Abdulla ibn Mas’ud reported: Umar ibn Al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, said, “Verily, the best days we knew were due to patience. If patience were to take the form of a man, it would be a nobleman.”

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ قَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْه إِنَّ أَفْضَلَ عَيْشٍ أَدْرَكْنَاهُ بِالصَّبْرِ وَلَوْ أَنَّ الصَّبْرَ كَانَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ كَانَ كَرِيمًا

6 الصَّبْرُ وَالثَّوَابُ عَلَيْهِ لابْنِ أَبِي الدُّنْيَا
