Musa ibn Al-‘Ala reported: Hudhayfah ibn Qatadah, may Allah have mercy on him, said, “O Musa, if you have three qualities, no blessing will descend from heaven but that you will have a share of it: that your deeds be for the sake of Allah, that you love for people what you love for yourself, and that you are careful with food as much as you can.”

عن موسى بن العلاء قَالَ قَالَ لِي حُذَيْفَةُ رحمه الله يَا مُوسَى ثَلاثُ خِصَالٍ إِنْ كُنَّ فِيكَ لَمْ يَنْزِلْ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ خَيْرٌ إِلا كَانَ لَكَ فِيهِ نَصِيبٌ يَكُونُ عَمَلُكَ لِلَّهِ وَتُحِبُّ لِلنَّاسِ مَا تُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِكَ وَهَذِهِ الْكَسْرَةُ تَحَرَّ فِيهَا مَا قَدَرْتَ
