Hadith on Qiblah: Prayer direction between two cardinal directions

Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whatever is between east and west is the direction of prayer.”

Al-Tirmidhi said, “It has been narrated from more than one of the companions of the Prophet, that what is between east and west is the direction of prayer. Among them, Umar ibn al-Khattab, Ali ibn Abi Talib, and Ibn Abbas. Ibn Umar said: If the west is on your right side and the east is on your left side, the direction of prayer is between them if you set it up.”
