Muhammad ibn Sa’d reported: Abu Darda, may Allah be pleased with him, said, “Seek refuge in Allah from the reverence of hypocrisy.” It was said, “What is the reverence of hypocrisy?” Abu Darda said, “It is that you see the body in reverence, but the heart is not reverent.”
