Umar on Slaves: Umm walad is emancipated when her master dies

Abdullah ibn Umar reported: Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, said, “When a servant woman gives birth from her master, then he may not sell her, or bestow her, or bequeath her. He may enjoy her and she becomes free when he dies.”
