Abu Umamah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “While I was sleeping, two men came to me and took me by the arm to a rough mountain. They said: Climb up. I said: I am unable to do so. They said: We will make it easy for you. I climbed until I was halfway up the mountain and I heard loud voices. I said: What are these loud voices? They said: This is the howling of the people of Hellfire. Then, they departed with me until I saw some people hanging by their heels, the corners of their mouth split open and running with blood. I said: Who are these? They said: They are those who would break their fasting before it was complete.”

عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَا أَنَا نَائِمٌ إِذْ أَتَانِي رَجُلانِ فَأَخَذَا بِضَبْعِيَّ فَأَتَيَا بِي جَبَلا وَعْرًا فَقَالا لِيَ اصْعَدْ فَقُلْتُ إِنِّي لا أُطِيقُهُ فَقَالا إِنَّا سَنُسَهِّلُهُ لَكَ فَصَعِدْتُ حَتَّى إِذَا كُنْتُ فِي سَوَاءِ الْجَبَلِ إِذَا أَنَا بِأَصْوَاتٍ شَدِيدَةٍ فَقُلْتُ مَا هَذِهِ الأَصْوَاتُ قَالُوا هَذَا عُوَاءُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ ثُمَّ انْطُلِقَ بِي فَإِذَا أَنَا بِقَوْمٍ مُعَلَّقِينَ بِعَرَاقِيبِهِمْ مُشَقَّقَةٌ أَشْدَاقُهُمْ تَسِيلُ أَشْدَاقُهُمْ دَمًا قَالَ قُلْتُ مَنْ هَؤُلاءِ قَالَ هَؤُلاءِ الَّذِينَ يُفْطِرُونَ قَبْلَ تَحِلَّةِ صَوْمِهِمْ
