Umar on Humility: Allah raises his wisdom if he humbles himself

‘Ubaydullah ibn ‘Adi reported: Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, said upon the pulpit, “Verily, if a servant humbles himself for Allah Almighty, he will increase his wisdom.”
