Hadith on Whims: The Prophet disavows people of whims, heresies

Umar ibn al-Khattab reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to Aisha, “O Aisha! Verily, those who divided their religion and became sects (6:159), they are the people of innovations and whims. They will not repent. I disavow them and they disavow me.”
