Abu ‘Aliyah on Whims: Beware lowly desires inciting to hatred, enmity

‘Asim al-Ahwal reported: Abu al-‘Aliyah, may Allah have mercy on him, said, “Learn the Quran and once you learn it, never place your desires elsewhere. Beware of these whims of yours, for they incite hostility and hatred between you.”
