Hadith on Sins: Prayer of three people will not be accepted

Ibn Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “There are three whose prayer will not rise even a hand span over their heads: an Imam who leads people in prayer who hate him, a wife who spends the night while her husband is displeased, and two brothers who sever their relationship.

عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ثَلَاثَةٌ لَا تَرْتَفِعُ صَلَاتُهُمْ فَوْقَ رُءُوسِهِمْ شِبْرًا رَجُلٌ أَمَّ قَوْمًا وَهُمْ لَهُ كَارِهُونَ وَامْرَأَةٌ بَاتَتْ وَزَوْجُهَا عَلَيْهَا سَاخِطٌ وَأَخَوَانِ مُتَصَارِمَانِ
