Hadith on Dua: Seek refuge from vices, trials, and oppression

Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would say, “O Allah, I seek refuge in You from disability, sloth, cowardice, senility, and miserliness. I seek refuge in You from the torment of the grave and from the trials of life and death.

عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قال كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ الْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ وَالْجُبْنِ وَالْهَرَمِ وَالْبُخْلِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ وَمِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ
