Abu Nu’aym reported: Al-Rabia’ ibn Khuthaym, may Allah have mercy on him, said to his companions, “Do you know the disease, the cure, and the healing?” They said no. Al-Rabia’ said, “The disease is sin, the cure is to seek forgiveness from Allah, and the healing is to repent and then not repeat it.”

عن أبي نعيم عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ رحمه الله أَنَّهُ قَالَ لأَصْحَابِهِ تَدْرُونَ مَا الدَّاءُ وَالدَّوَاءُ وَالشِّفَاءُ قَالُوا لا قَالَ الدَّاءُ الذُّنُوبُ وَالدَّوَاءُ الاسْتِغْفَارُ وَالشِّفَاءُ أَنْ تَتُوبَ ثُمَّ لا تَعُودَ
