Ibn Umar on Humility: Ibn Umar eats with lepers and outcasts

Abu Bakr ibn Hafs reported: Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, while travelling between Mecca and Medina would not withhold his food from a leper, nor an outcast, nor anyone afflicted, even letting them sit with him at his table.

عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ حَفْصٍ قَالَ كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ رضي الله عنه لَا يَحْبِسُ عَنْ طَعَامِهِ بَيْنَ مَكَّةَ وَالْمَدِينَةِ مَجْذُومًا وَلَا أَبْرَصَ وَلَا مُبْتَلًى حَتَّى يَقْعُدُوا مَعَهُ عَلَى مَائِدَتِهِ
