Hadith on Restraint: Controlling speech, anger, and apologizing

Ibn Umar reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever restrains his tongue, Allah Almighty will cover his faults. Whoever controls his anger, Allah Almighty will protect him from His punishment. Whoever apologizes to Allah Almighty, He will accept his apology.

عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ كَفَّ لِسَانَهُ سَتَرَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَوْرَتَهُ وَمَنْ مَلَكَ غَضَبَهُ وَقَاهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَذَابَهُ وَمَنِ اعْتَذَرَ إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَبِلَ عُذْرَهُ
