Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen commented, “It is not permissible to curse an unbeliever by name while he is alive, but after his death, may he be cursed? It may be said that he is not cursed after death… but if he has a specific doctrine, such as a Communist who calls for Communism or a Christian who calls for Christianity, then here we may clarify his misguidance and warn against him. As for cursing him, there is no benefit in that because he is an unbeliever who died in unbelief, he is already cursed and that is not needed.”
