Wahb on Shahwah: Satan flees from one who overcomes his desires

Muhammad ibn Ziyad reported: Wahb ibn Munabbih, may Allah have mercy on him, said, “Whoever places his lusts beneath his feet, Satan will flee from his shadow. Whoever overcomes his whims by his forbearance, that one is among the victorious scholars.”
