Hadith on Imarah: Every leader has good and evil advisors

Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “A Caliph is never appointed but that he has two advisors: one advisor orders him to do good and encourages him, and another advisor orders him to do evil and encourages him. The unscathed are only those whom Allah has protected.

عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الخُدْرِيِّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَا اسْتُخْلِفَ خَلِيفَةٌ إِلَّا لَهُ بِطَانَتَانِ بِطَانَةٌ تَأْمُرُهُ بِالخَيْرِ وَتَحُضُّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَبِطَانَةٌ تَأْمُرُهُ بِالشَّرِّ وَتَحُضُّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَالمَعْصُومُ مَنْ عَصَمَ اللَّهُ
