Hadith on Shirk: Idolaters believe Allah is Lord, but do not worship Him alone

Ibn Abbas reported: The idolaters would say, “O Allah, at Your service! You have no partners!” The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would say, “Woe to you! Stop here! Stop here!” Then they would say, “Except for partners You own and do not own You.” They would say this as they circled the House.

عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ كَانَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ يَقُولُونَ لَبَّيْكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ فَيَقُولُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَيْلَكُمْ قَدْ قَدْ فَيَقُولُونَ إِلَّا شَرِيكًا هُوَ لَكَ تَمْلِكُهُ وَمَا مَلَكَ يَقُولُونَ هَذَا وَهُمْ يَطُوفُونَ بِالْبَيْتِ
