Hadith on Bathrooms: Refuge in Allah before relieving oneself

Zayd ibn Arqam reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, these washrooms are inhabited by jinn. When one of you enters his place of relief, let him say: I seek refuge in Allah from foul and noxious things.

عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ هَذِهِ الْحُشُوشَ مُحْتَضَرَةٌ فَإِذَا أَتَى أَحَدُكُمُ الْخَلَاءَ فَلْيَقُلْ أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الْخُبُثِ وَالْخَبَائِثِ
