Sa’id ibn al-Musayyib reported: Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, said, “Verily, the supplication is suspended between the heavens and the earth. Nothing ascends from it until you send blessings upon your Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.”
