Hadith on Status: Love of worldly life dangerous to faith

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Two ravenous, hungry wolves spending the night in a pen of sheep while its owners are negligent, bloodthirsty and eating, are not quicker to wreak havoc than the love of wealth and high status are to the religion of a Muslim.
