Hadith on Faith: Virtue of believers who never saw the Prophet

Abu Jumu’ah reported: We ate a meal with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and Abu ‘Ubadah al-Jarrah was with us. Abu ‘Ubadah said, “O Messenger of Allah, is there anyone better than us? We embraced Islam and waged jihad with you.” The Prophet said, “Yes, people will come after you who have faith in me but never saw me.

عَنْ أَبِي جُمُعَة قَالَ تَغَدَّيْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَعَنَا أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ قَالَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ هَلْ أَحَدٌ خَيْرٌ مِنَّا أَسْلَمْنَا مَعَكَ وَجَاهَدْنَا مَعَكَ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَوْمٌ يَكُونُونَ مِنْ بَعْدِكُمْ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِي وَلَمْ يَرَوْنِي
