Hadith on Dua: Words of prayer better than gold and silver

Shaddad ibn Aws reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “When you see people amassing gold and silver, then amass these words: O Allah, I ask You for firmness in the matter and determination upon guidance. I ask You for gratitude over Your blessings, I ask You to help me worship You in the best manner, I ask You for a pure heart, and I ask You for a truthful tongue. I ask You for the goodness that You know, I seek refuge in You from the evil that You know, and I seek Your forgiveness for what You know. Verily, You alone are All-Knowing of the Unseen.
