Malik on Patience: A good deed accomplished brings relief and comfort

Rabah ibn ‘Amr reported: Malik ibn Dinar, may Allah have mercy on him, said, “There is no righteous deed but that an obstacle is in front of it. If one is patient, he will break through to comfort, but if he is intimidated, he will turn back.”
