Abu Umamah reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “No man misappropriates the right of another Muslim by means of a false oath but that Allah will forbid him from entering Paradise or obligate him to enter Hellfire.” A man among the people said, “O Messenger of Allah, even if it is something insignificant?” The Prophet said, “Even if it is a twig of the Arak tree.”

عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا يَقْتَطِعُ رَجُلٌ حَقَّ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ بِيَمِينِهِ إِلَّا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ الْجَنَّةَ وَأَوْجَبَ لَهُ النَّارَ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَإِنْ كَانَ شَيْئًا يَسِيرًا قَالَ وَإِنْ كَانَ سِوَاكًا مِنْ أَرَاكٍ
