Hadith on Oaths: Warning against violating rights by false testimony

Abu Umamah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “No man misappropriates the right of another Muslim using a false oath but that Allah will obligate his entrance into Hellfire and forbid his entrance into Paradise.” A man said, “O Messenger of Allah, even if it is something insignificant?” The Prophet said, “Even if it is a twig of an Arak tree.

عَنْ ‌أَبِي أُمَامَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنِ اقْتَطَعَ حَقَّ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ بِيَمِينِهِ فَقَدْ أَوْجَبَ اللهُ لَهُ النَّارَ وَحَرَّمَ عَلَيْهِ الْجَنَّةَ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ وَإِنْ كَانَ شَيْئًا يَسِيرًا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ وَإِنْ قَضِيبًا مِنْ أَرَاكٍ
