Hadith on Truths: Three universal facts to swear upon

Abdur Rahman ibn ‘Awf reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, there are three I would swear an oath upon. Charity does not decrease wealth, so give in charity. No servant forgives wrongdoing, by which he seeks the countenance of Allah, but that Allah will increase his honor on the Day of Resurrection. And no servant opens the door of begging but that Allah will open the door of poverty.

عَنْ عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ بْن عَوْفٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَلاثٌ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ إِنْ كُنْتُ لَحَالِفًا عَلَيْهِنَّ لَا يَنْقُصُ مَالٌ مِنْ صَدَقَةٍ فَتَصَدَّقُوا وَلا يَعْفُو عَبْدٌ عَنْ مَظْلَمَةٍ يَبْتَغِي بِهَا وَجْهَ اللهِ إِلا زَادَهُ اللهُ بِهَا عِزًّا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلا يَفْتَحُ عَبْدٌ بَابَ مَسْأَلَةٍ إِلا فَتَحَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ بَابَ فَقْرٍ
