Hadith on Tyranny: The Prophet disowns supporters of evil rulers

Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “There will be rulers after me whose malevolence will deceive the people. Whoever affirms their lies and helps their wrongdoing, I disavow myself from him and he is disavowed from me. Whoever does not affirm their lies, nor helps their wrongdoing, I am part of him and he is part of me.

عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلى الله عَلَيه وسَلم قَالَ سَيَكُونُ مِنْ بَعْدِي أُمَرَاءُ يَغْشَاهُمْ غَوَاشٍ مِنَ النَّاسِ فَمَنْ صَدَّقَهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ وَأَعَانَهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ فَأَنَا مِنْهُ بَرِيءٌ وَهُوَ مِنِّي بَرِيءٌ وَمَنْ لَمْ يُصَدِّقْهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ وَلَمْ يُعِنْهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ فَأَنَا مِنْهُ وَهُوَ مِنِّي
