Hadith on Deeds: If the inward is good, the outward is good

Mu’awiyah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, the deeds are only like vessels. If the bottom is clean, the top will be clean. If the bottom is spoiled, the top will be spoiled.”

عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّمَا الْأَعْمَالُ كَالْوِعَاء إِذَا طَابَ أَسْفَلُهُ طَابَ أَعْلَاهُ وَإِذَا فَسَدَ أَسْفَلُهُ فَسَدَ أَعْلَاهُ
