Hadith on Illness: Do not curse fever as it purifies from sin

Abu Huraira reported: Fever was mentioned in front of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and a man cursed it. The Prophet said, “Do not curse fever, for it cleanses sins just as fire cleanses iron from impurities.

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ ذُكِرَتِ الْحُمَّى عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَسَبَّهَا رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَسُبَّهَا فَإِنَّهَا تَنْفِي الذُّنُوبَ كَمَا تَنْفِي النَّارُ خَبَثَ الْحَدِيدِ
