Hadith on Modesty: Women prohibited from nudity in bathhouses

Abu al-Malih reported: Women from Hims or Syria entered the dwelling of Aisha, and she said, “Are you those women who enter the bathhouses? I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: No woman puts down her clothes in a place other than her husband’s home but that the barrier between her sin and her Lord will be torn to shreds.

عَنْ ‌أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ الْهُذَلِيِّ أَنَّ نِسَاءً مِنْ أَهْلِ حِمْصَ أَوْ مِنْ أَهْلِ الشَّامِ دَخَلْنَ عَلَى ‌عَائِشَةَ فَقَالَتْ أَنْتُنَّ اللَّاتِي يَدْخُلْنَ نِسَاؤُكُمُ الْحَمَّامَاتِ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَا مِنِ امْرَأَةٍ تَضَعُ أَثْيَابَهَا فِي غَيْرِ بَيْتِ زَوْجِهَا إِلَّا هَتَكَتِ السِّتْرَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ رَبِّهَا
