Hadith on Ruqyah: Calling upon Allah alone to remove pain

Abd al-Aziz reported: Thabit and I entered the home of Anas ibn Malik, and Thabit said, “O Abu Hamzah, I am complaining of pain.” Anas said, “Shall I not invoke over you with the incantation of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him?” Thabit said, “Of course.” Anas said, “O Allah, the Lord of the people, the Banisher of pain, heal it for You are the Healer. There is no healing but Your healing, a healing that leaves no trace of illness.”
