Sahl ibn Sa’d reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The believer is friendly, for there is no good in one who is not friendly or befriended.”

Grade: Hasan (fair) according to Al-Arna’ut
Imam al-Qari commented, “That is because mutual affection and harmony are a cause of holding fast to Allah and to His rope. Through it, unity is achieved among the Muslims, while through its opposite division occurs among them. And this is by the success granted by Allah and by His bringing hearts together.”
