Ibn Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The servant does not commit adultery while he is a believer. He does not steal while he is a believer. He does not drink wine while he is a believer. He does not murder while he is a believer.”
‘Ikramah said, “I said to Ibn Abbas: How is faith taken from him?” Ibn Abbas said, “Like so,” and he clasped his fingers together and separated them, “If he repents, it returns like so,” and he clasped his fingers together.
