Al-Walid ibn Muslim reported: Abu Rawwad, may Allah have mercy on him, said, “The Muslims would supplicate at the arrival of Ramadan: O Allah, the month of Ramadan has come. Grant it to me, secure me in it, and accept it from me. O Allah, provide me with its fasting, its standing in prayer patiently and expecting reward, and provide me within it due diligence, effort, strength, and vitality. Protect me within it from weariness, weakness, laziness, and fatigue. Guide me within it to the Night of Decree and make it better for me than a thousand months.”
