Hadith on Clothes: Prefer white garments, living or deceased

Ibn Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Clothe yourselves in white garments, for they are the best of garments, and shroud your deceased in them.”

Ibn al-Mubarak, may Allah have mercy on him, said, “The most beloved to me is to shroud oneself with a white garment in which one prays.”
